Singapore Sling
Original Recipe

Recipe 1 part of gin Bombay Sapphire
1/2 part of Bénédictine
1/2 part of cherry brandy
Club soda
2 lime wedges

Glassware Sling/Highball


Method Pour the gin, Bénédictine® and cherry brandy into the glass. Fill with ice cubes, top up with club soda. Squeeze and drop 1 lime wedge in the glass then stir.

Garnish Lime wedge (cherry optional)

History The original Singapore Sling was created between 1910 and 1915 by Ngiam Tong Boon, at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore. This recipe has been published in 1946 by Charles H. Baker Jr. in Gentleman's Companion (Jigger, beaker and glass: drinking around the world).
